While just a stone's throw away from India, Sri Lanka retains a distinctive culture of its own. Heavily steeped in Buddhism, Sri Lanka also has remnants of its Dutch and Portuguese occupations from centuries before. Monolithic rock sculptures dot the countryside along with temples devoted to both Buddhism and Hinduism. The geography of Sri Lanka is diverse and broadly appealing - frigid mountains, refreshing hill stations, golden sand beaches. The Grand Tour of Sri Lanka is aptly named...come, experience it.
