Bhutan officially the Kingdom of Bhutan, is a landlocked country in South Asia at the eastern end of the Himalayas. It is bordered to the north by China and to the south, east and west by India. To the west, it is separated from Nepal by the Indian state of Sikkim, while farther south it is separated from Bangladesh by the Indian states of Assam and West Bengal. Bhutan's capital and largest city is Thimphu.

Enjoy a Meet
After receiving the necessary permit, travel to Thimphu. Check-in at the hotel and spend the remainder of the day as you like. Overnight in Thimphu.
Visit the Folk Heritage Museum, the Textile Museum, the School of Arts and Crafts, the National Institute of Traditional Medicine, and the Traditional Paper Factory. In the evening, travel to Paro (65 kms/75 min. drive). Overnight in Paro.
Visit the Ta Dzong, a circular fortress that once protected this valley from the Tibetan invasion. It is now the National Museum with an excellent collection of Bhutanese antiquities. Later, visit the Paro Rinpung Dzong which was built and consecrated in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. This Dzong is also the administrative seat of the district of Paro and it also contains a state monastic community of about 200 members. Afternoon, enjoy a drive to Drugyel Dzong, also built by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel in 1647 to commemorate his victory over the Tibetans in 1644. En route to returning to Paro, stop off at the "Tiger's Nest" base camp and the Kitchu Monastery. End your day with a walk through Paro's main shopping district. Overnight at Paro.
After check-out, travel to Dooars ((in India - 190 kms/6 to 7 hours). Visit the Wild Life Sanctuary which is known for the 1-horned rhino and Indian elephant. Spend the night in Dooars.
Enjoy and early morning elephant ride/car safari (Optional) inside the grassland of Dooars in order to observe the great Indian Rhino in their natural habitat. Afterwards, drive back to the railway station or airport to continue your onward journey.
