From the Swiss Border or Airport, board the train (IIND Class) to Interlaken, a scenic town nestled between the Lakes of Thun and Brienz and at the foot the famous trio of peaks, the Eiger, the Monch and the Jungfrau in the Bernese Oberland. On arrival, proceed to the hotel for check-in and relax for the day. Alternatively, sign up for the highly recommended excursion to the Harder Kulm, a small peak just above Interlaken, which offers exquisite views of the lakes, the region in-between, and the majestic peaks towering over them. Enjoy a ride to the top with the Harder Funicular (8 minutes journey) where the Harder Kulm Mountain Restaurant, at 1322 meters/4337f. above sea level, is reminiscent of a small castle and offers an opportunity to savour snacks and tea from a fantastic view point. Today, we will enjoy an excursion from Interlaken to Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe, which hosts the highest railway station in Europe; is served by the Jungfrau Railways, recognized by UNESCO as a railway engineering marvel; and is a UNESCO World Heritage Region. Board a train from Interlaken Ost to the Kleine Scheidegg, at the foot of the famous Eiger North Wall. At to the Kleine Scheidegg, you can board the railway engineering marvel - Jungfrau Railway, which connects you to Jungfraujoch - at 3454 m/11'333 ft, the highest railway station in Europe. Overnight in Interlaken.
Today, we will depart from Interlaken and make our way to our next stop - Lucerne. After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed to the railway station to board the Burning Express from Interlaken to Lucerne (panoramic seats in 1st Class only). This will be one very scenic rail journey. On arrival at Luzern, proceed to hotel for check-in. Overnight in Lucerne.
Today, we will enjoy an excursion to Mount Pilatus, the site of the steepest cogwheel railway in the world. The excursion begins with a scenic cruise down Lake Lucerne from Lucerne to Alpnachstad; at Alpnachstad, we will board the steepest cogwheel railway up to the Pilatus 2132 m/7000 ft (from May/June to November, during winter you take the bus from Lucerne to Kriens and further with a panoramic gondola from Kriens to Pilatus). Time at leisure. Overnight in Lucerne..
Today is the last day of our tour and the day of departure for our home country; return to Swiss Border or Airport or continue your stay in Switzerland at your own request.
