Swiss Border / Airport - Interlaken

From the Swiss Border or Airport, board the train (IIND Class) to Interlaken, a scenic town nestled between the Lakes of Thun and Brienz and at the foot the famous trio of peaks, the Eiger, the Monch and the Jungfrau in the Bernese Oberland. On arrival, proceed to the hotel for check-in and relax for the day. Alternatively, sign up for the highly recommended excursion to the Harder Kulm, a small peak just above Interlaken, which offers exquisite views of the lakes, the region in-between, and the majestic peaks towering over them. Enjoy a ride to the top with the Harder Funicular (8 minutes journey) where the Harder Kulm Mountain Restaurant, at 1322 meters/4337ft. above sea level, is reminiscent of a small castle and offers an opportunity to savour snacks and tea from a fantastic view point.

Interlaken - Excursion To Schilthorn

Today, we will enjoy an excursion to the James-Bond-Mountain (film location for 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service') - Schilthorn. First, the train takes you from Interlaken Ost to Lauterbrunnen where you board the bus to Stechelberg. From there a series of cable cars take you up to Schilthorn Piz Gloria - at 2970 m/9'744 ft. A spectacular 360° panorama view awaits you - some 200 snow-capped peaks, ranging from the Bernese Alps to Mont Blanc in France and Germany's Black Forest. An additional highlight is the world's first revolving mountain restaurant at an altitude of nearly 3000 meters. Overnight in Interlaken.

Interlaken - Zermatt

Today, after breakfast, we will check-out from the hotel at Interlaken and travel either via the Lotschberg base tunnel directly to Visp and further to Zermatt or by the Lotschberger - the new air-conditioned train with big windows using the traditional scenic Lotschberg Line, passing the imposing Kander Viaduct, the helical tunnel around the Felsenburg and the descent to Brig with the imposing view onto the Rhone Valley and continue your journey to Zermatt. Zermatt, at the foot of the Matterhorn - the most photographed mountain in the world, is the perfect Alpine resort. On arrival, you might take the opportunity to go on an optional excursion to Rothorn paradise to enjoy the best view of the Matterhorn. Check-in at the hotel at Zermatt. Overnight in Zermatt.

Zermatt - Excursion To Matterhorn Glacier Paradise

Today, we will enjoy an excursion to the Matterhorn glacier paradise, renowned as much for its exquisite views as for hosting Europe's highest cable car, the highest restaurant and the most fascinating and highest glacier palace in the world - at 3883 m/12'740 ft. Experience the mystical world below the perpetual ice with its ice sculptures and exhibition about glaciers, geology and the wine in Zermatt. Round off this excursion with a visit to the highest viewing platform in Europe at the Matterhorn glacier paradise. Overnight in Zermatt.
