Kerala, sometimes referred to in historical terms as Keralam, is a state in the south-west region of India on the Malabar coast. It was created on 1 November 1956 following the States Reorganisation Act by combining various Malayalam-speaking regions. Spread over 38,863 km2 (15,005 sq mi), it is bordered by Karnataka to the north and north east, Tamil Nadu to the east and south, and the Lakshadweep Sea to the west. With 33,387,677 inhabitants as per the 2011 census, Kerala is the thirteenth largest state by population and is divided into 14 districts with the capital being Thiruvananthapuram. Malayalam is the most widely spoken and official language of the state.

After breakfast proceed for Eravikulam National Park It is an ideal place for seeing the biodiversity of high elevation shola-grassland ecosystem. Visit the Theme Museum, Mattupetty Dam here you can enjoy the greenish valleys and feel the fabulous climate around. The main attraction of Mattupetty is the dam and the lake here. This scenic place gets its name from the natural echo phenomenon here. Echo Point, situated on the way to Top Station from Munnar. Later return back to the hotel and rest of the day is at leisure. Check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive towards Periyar (also known as Thekkady). The name Periyar comes after the Dam made here by the English in 1895. A wild life reserve hence is an ideal place to track down wild life such as Elephants, Bison, Deer and numerous other varieties of birds. After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey. Alleppey – the land of Backwaters. On arrival at Alleppey embark into the private House boat that is waiting to take you on a tour through the backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. You can sunbathe on the deck or observe the landscape from the protection of the cabin. The population's whole life takes place here on the water. The people sail, fish, swim and bathe here. They do their washing and their washing up. They are so adapted to the water that you can see people talking for an hour, while they are up to their necks in water. Peddlers take care of the supplies and the public transport goes on the water. Countless water birds wait for their chance to catch a fish. The trip goes through a wonderful area full of palm trees, rice fields and floating water plants that surround the boat like emerald Green Island. (Overnight stay at Houseboat)
After breakfast check out from the houseboat and drive to Cochin railway station /airport for your onward journey.
