Forests, Waterfalls and Rum Tasting

Explore Ebony Forest, one of the last remaining native forests found on the island. Go on an open jeep safari and soak in nature at its best. Spot paradise flycatchers, the Mauritius bulbul, and other endemic birds. Follow a guide as you walk on raised walkways built through the verdant ebony forests, and admire breathtaking views from Sublime Point.

Close by, witness nature's spectacle - the Chamarel waterfall, where a cascade of water plunges down more than 95 metres, against a backdrop of thick forests. From here make your way to the seven coloured earth attraction, a unique volcanic geological phenomenon. In the middle of the forest is a small area of sand dunes that have seven distinct colours of soil – red, brown, green, violet, blue and yellow.

End the visit with some rum tasting at the La Rhumerie de Chamarel, that produces some of the finest rums found on the island.
