Follow in the footsteps of the late Anthony Bourdain, and learn a thing or two about Vietnamese cooking in Hanoi. Local chef, Ms Anh Tuyet's grilled honey chicken won Bourdain's heart, who said it was the best dish he had eaten in the country. Tuyet follows recipes and cooking techniques passed down from her grandmother and mother, and conducts cooking classes in her house, adjoining her eponymous restaurant. Before the cooking, there's a lot of eating to be done, as Tuyet gives you a tour of the different street food delicacies eaten in Vietnam.
The next day, join Tuyet on a visit to the neighbourhood market to buy fresh ingredients. From the market head back to her kitchen and under her watchful guidance, try your hand at making classic Vietnamese dishes including spring rolls and green papaya salad.
