Stunning Mykonos and Santorini

If your Instagram feed is in need of refreshing, wait till you get to Mykonos and Santorini.

People from around the world flock to Mykonos for its glittery nightlife, but during the day you get to hit the beach, and there are 25 of them to choose from! Elia, one of the longest stretches of beach is particularly popular with families, while Agios Sostis, on the southern coast, is devoid of crowds. Flanked by whitewashed buildings with pretty blue balconies and windows, and the iconic windmills of Mykonos close by, Little Venice is perhaps the best spot on the island to have a meal or watch the sun go down.

Santorini is everything dreams are made of, and then some. The best way to experience this little jewel of the Cyclades is to go wandering down its picturesque cobbled lanes, getting lost and then finding your way back. The medieval villages of Megalochori and Pyrgos, are off the tourist radar, and a delight to explore. Closer to sunset, find a seat in one of Oia's cliffside cafes and watch the sun put on a spectacular show. A popular stop for cruise ships, Oia truly shines once the crowds have left. Walk into art studios tucked into pretty lanes and watch artists paint. Later, head to a taverna for a Greek meal complete with Santorini's famous spelt pie.
